Reflexology
Reflexology is an ancient healing art and science that has been developed over the many generations. It has roots spanning back to ancient Egypt, China and India. The modern style is mainly based on the findings of Dr. William Fitzgerald. He discovered that certain areas and points on the hands and feet could create an anesthetic effect elsewhere. He was able to carry out minor surgery through what was dubbed "Zone Therapy": the body being divided into longitudinal zones.
Based on "Zone Therapy", Eunice Ingham then created what is used as the basis for most reflexology practice today: the quintessential "foot map". The body is systematically divided into sections on the hands and feet reflecting how the segments and organs of the body relate to the hands and feet. They act as "Zone Ends" where the circulation, nerves and energy loop or terminate, therefore, by stimulating the specific areas or points on the hands or feet, a corresponding balancing effect can be created in the associated body part. A sore or tender reflex point indicates an imbalance in that area.

There are over 7000 nerves in the feet: all of which are stimulated by Reflexology to improve overall body system functions. Reflexology is the perfect option for anyone seeking overall wellbeing as well as complementary assistance with specific issues.
